This wedding was all in the family. My brother Brad said “I Do” Saturday to Erica Burns. My mom worked long and hard planning and getting every detail in place. The ceremony took place on the White Oak River & happens to be where I got married just on the other side. Much thanks to Jon Young for helping me shoot as I was a part of the wedding party and was limited to shooting. Congratulations Brad & Erica!

It makes my job a lot easier when I have an awesome couple like Anna & John to shoot. And what better place to have a wedding than in the Outer Banks of NC. They were married at the Holy Redeemer by the sea in Kitty Hawk, NC and the reception took place inside the pier house on the Kitty Hawk Pier. The sunset photos on the beach were awesome, they were so great to work with and the photos came so natural. They were very comfortable in front of the camera. We even got a little wet when the incoming tide rushed up, but they didn’t mind. Great family and friends as well. Congratulations! View their wedding slideshow below:

Tracy & Jason are such a great laid back couple, my favorite kind! Jason and the groomsmen were super cool and made sure me and Jon were fed before the ceremony started. They had major heat on their wedding day, but did not let it bother them for a second. We did so many great photos of them together. The grain bins and open fields made for a great backdrop. There were also tears that we captured as well.

Lauren & Bryan’s wedding had a lot of things going for it: beautiful weather, a great location with a ton of variety, a bride and a groom with a great sense of humor who together make a couple who are totally into each other. Not to mention their own Tiki Bar!

Brandie came to me early in her engagement, about a year before her wedding. Needless to say, I have been excited for their big day for a VERY long time! The wedding took place at Bonners Point in Bath,NC. This was such an awesome place for a wedding.
I think that some of the elements that make up a great wedding are (in no particular order):
- a couple who is in love and excited to be getting married
- a group of vendors who are committed to making that day special and beautiful
- a beautiful location
- a fun and relaxed bride!
Since Brandie and Patrick had all four of these things going for them, I was not surprised one bit that their wedding was such a pleasure to be a part of. Their love and excitement were contagious, and their warm family and friends were so kind. Their photos truly tell the story! See their wedding slideshow below:

Brandie decided to do her bridal shots at Tryon Palace & Ft. Macon. Brandie was fun to work with and didn’t mind climbing in a tree or laying in the sand. Although the day was unbelievably hot we had a great time and the photos turned out awesome! View slideshow here:

Wow! We had a great turnout yesterday at the Southern Bridal Show in Raleigh. It was inside the Jim Graham Building at the State Fair grounds. Thanks to all of the brides and grooms we met yesterday. I heard a lot of creative ideas for their big day. It was also nice talking with the folks from Rose Hill Plantation what a beautiful place to have a wedding.
We will be at the New Bern Bridal Expo on January 30th. So stop by, browse through our books and let us show you how we are developing what you haven’t seen before. For more info visit www.enctoday.com/sections/encshows/
Johnny & Meredith’s wedding took place on December 5th at Castalia Babtist Church in Castalia, NC. This was the perfect way to finish off the 2009 wedding shooting season. The christmas setting was a great way to make for a very memorable wedding. We might have had to dodge a few rain drops, but all in all, the day went superbly well.
Jeffery & Stephanie married at Yankee Hall in Greenville, NC on October 16th. This venue is an absolutely beautiful place to have a wedding. The wedding was very elegant and went off without a hitch. Stephanie’s mother is such a sweet. lady. She made sure we had everything we needed the entire evening.
